Hello festival-goers, fans and filmmakers alike. Today, as I write this, we are less than two weeks away from Her International Film Festival 2021. The festival opens in a mere twelve days, on the 25th of October. And what a line-up we have in store.
I have seen some of the films that we will be screening, and you are in for a treat. There are films from female and women-aligned directors from all over the world. From shorts to documentaries to animations and more, they have a diverse range of genres, styles and themes.
Add to that the talks and workshops that we will be running over the course of the week, including a music video workshop and a Filmmaking During Covid panel , you wouldn’t want to miss it for the world.
Two must-see talks include Her’s Featured Filmmakers Panel on Tuesday and the Irish Animation Panel. The Featured Filmmakers Panel will include the filmmakers of some of our favourite submissions of 2021. There might also be some familiar faces on the Irish Animation Panel, but I’ll say no more!
The festival runs for a full week – from the 25th to the 31st – and with a mixture of in-person and online events, you have no excuse not to be there!
